HOW IT WORKS
Our organization is member-driven and democratic, meaning our members any idea or campaign should be presented to membership and voted on. Democratic decision making is how we build a powerful organization that actively engages *all* its members. We have a requirement of being a member of DSA to be a member of our organization. This can be done by paying dues (often 20-50 dollars a year) here. Or membership can be obtained for free via the dues-waiver here.
Once you are a member you are entitled to a certain set of rights in our organization including voting on elections, and resolutions. A resolution is a document that outlines proposed actions for the organization to take. An example of a resolution can be found here. Any member may submit a resolution at least 1 week in advance to the central committee at ydsaatuva@gmail.com
